Growing in Cooperation
2 Corinthians 6:1
- When we first cooperate with God in our hearts, then all our outward appearances and actions can be reconciled with His heart. How will it be, walking with God in the desire of our religious intentions and without the freshness of fellowship with Him? Only those who have given themselves to the cross, and are in integrity under Christ’s co-operative administration. Many work for him. He does so and uses His name, but those who make no claims to their spiritual identity are those who are co-workers with Him. Many want to establish their spirituality before God by themselves, to prove their availability and to be accepted as promotion in God’s kingdom. Those who work with him are hidden in him and that is why they do not want to get anything or become famous because of their efforts.
Those who live only half of their minds in objective knowledge, will never go far in their weakness and receive the grace of God’s life. They do not set their whole hearts on faith. You are first blessed by what you go through, and then you grow by what you receive by faith.
Even though the rich young man came to Christ in his weakness, he was grieved (see Matthew 19:16). Christ told him to sell everything he had. If he had responded transparently to his weakness toward his possessions, he would have walked with God in grace. He left realizing that all things are impossible to walk with God who can make all things possible.
