The Power of Wall to Wall
1 Kings 6:27
- This verse describes the interior of Solomon’s temple. The cherubim were kept there. They were two in number, and they covered the room itself. If the wings of one would touch the wall of one bar, the wings of the other would touch the wall of another bar, and in the middle of that house, their wings would touch each other’s wings. The entire heaven would have filled that section, so that wherever you go, you are touched by heaven. God would have placed His presence there, and there was no other room, but only God’s place for that.
In Ezekiel 3:13, the Bible says that the wings of the living creatures touched each other and great activity was going on between them. It was living beings who touched each other, who lived among all the spiritual blessings. The body of Christ is the place where God always commands his blessing. In the body of Christ, members can touch each other in life, because they are not limited by the boundaries of humanity. They are safe in the presence of heaven. They are secure in life, and they are expressed in freedom. A man does not hide his art because he feels insecure, but invests it by touching each other with his position. As each member invests his life, Christ becomes active in building up and encouraging the body of Christ.
Man is placed in such a place, where he can be constantly touched by heaven. We are touched and clothed with Christ so that others may touch us, and be healed in mind, spirit, and body. We have been touched, and now we touch each other.
