Jayamsih! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Living away from God.
Isaiah 57:15-19
When a person fails to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and obey God, it reveals that they are more than ignorant of God’s love. It reveals a broken heart and lack of a humble spirit. Instead he goes to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and challenges the soul through emotional reactions and tries to rationalize his behavior which makes him live away from God.
How can one renew and revitalize oneself in experiential response to God’s presence? By being humble before God, humble in heart and not thinking of yourself above what you are weak and weak. This does not mean living less than what God has transmitted.
Humility is not expressed in instances of inferiority where your emotions keep you from experiencing accomplished work.
God will bring mysterious challenges to test our lives in order to prove our humility towards God and recognition of His Word. How we respond to God’s challenges reveals the measure of our humility. If a person is always fighting against circumstances, it is because he is not humble enough to accept them in God’s plan of grace. If a person kicks the needle (the sharpness of the word comes to their experience), they are not crushed enough to be close to God and not able to be in the presence of healing as the breath of life. Through humility, allow God to heal what is in you outside of grace.
Today’s reading is 1 Samuel 1-3
