Jayamsih! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Sufficient for every situation
2 Corinthians 9:8
- ‘Man does nothing but frustrate God.’ God says nothing but “My grace is sufficient for you” (2 Corinthians 9:8). Grace was sufficient for Abraham, when he went against God’s will and took Hagar (Genesis 16). God protected Ishmael and gave him an inheritance (Genesis 21:18). Yakub robbed his brother’s birthright. Did he miss the opportunity? did not lose He came to hear these words that “Jacob I have loved (Malachi 1:2) and with the same certainty God never imputed sin to crooked Jacob (Numbers 23:21) | David, despite his many sins, was called a man with God’s heart. Lot was counted righteous in the New Age of Mercy. Peter denied God three times to the point of cursing, and even God used him. Saul blamed and persecuted Christians, but he was called to preach the riches that Christ could not find. And used him as the chief apostle to the Gentiles.
Grace is not sufficient when men live unto God, but God’s grace is sufficient, when we fail and can do nothing but allow His power to be perfected in our infirmities. Satan wants us to think so Grace is based on the receiving system. But grace is the sufficiency of Jesus for every person, who trusts that the nature of love is sufficient in every situation.
Why did Paul endure the thorn in the flesh? (2 Corinthians 12:7). God wanted Paul to discover the sufficiency of grace. He had a thorn in his weakness, and despite that, he was drawn to the perfection of God’s power.
