Jayamsih! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Reaction or God’s way?
Exodus 20:3
- Are we included in the response to grace? We don’t like them to go the way others are going. In a marriage, every couple wants to have the grace to straighten out their partner, but no one has the ability to hold on to love unconditionally when their partner is straightened out. They tell God what method to use, and if they don’t find it working in a certain way, they think of trying to get rid of the problem altogether. They try to follow God’s will according to their own desires. In this unconditional ministry, God’s word is not the basis of their actions, but it is the result of their desires with their own conditions. If they do not find their desires fulfilled, they imagine that it is God who has conquered them who wants them. In reality, they are saying that God’s supply is exhausted and they have spent their resources beyond their ability to meet their own possible future needs.
Instead of living in the mind of God who plans our lives through grace, such people are making a God of their hearts to meet the needs of their own circumstances. All the supplies according to the first demand can be completed. The second is never tired because his supply is always according to the command to bless. When people create their own God to meet their own needs, they are restricting their personal ability to act in God’s grace and unconditional love.
Carry the cross and manifest life from death for the purposes of the plan.
