Jayamsih! Welcome to today’s devotion.
A Life Without Existence
Luke 9:23-27
How many conversations result from a lack of devotion to God? People end up complaining and hurting because their hearts are not devoted to God. Some people respect Christ completely. To get the human comforts they want, they respect their personal rights only in parts, thinking that they can do whatever they can. Some carry the cross, and some know its existence, but do not pick it up. Men may confess in Adam, and yet never live in the life of Christ. But they say that God will not allow them to do the things they claim to have done in their speech. They observe the cross with reverence, but never approach it with devotion. It shows a lack of humility and a lack of repentance in the eyes of God. Your heart is bare before God. Let your life be so full of God’s will that you have no desire to obstruct the cross, deny discipline, or depart from humility. Don’t spend hours obstructing and don’t allow the consequences of your obstruction to be your life. Don’t be litigious, be a heart of giving love. Don’t come with solutions, come with the cross. Don’t come demanding, come to be dedicated. Don’t come looking for people to agree with you, but come to love and listen and see if their souls agree. The choice is between self and the cross, pride and humility, death and life, the spirit of Satan and the spirit of Christ. Today’s reading passages are 1 Samuel 4-7
