Building Field of Grace
(2 Corinthians 13:10) We are given to be built up. That, in itself, is an art of the Holy Spirit. We shape a plan and prepare a cover, so that others are built upon it. Before we are built up in grace there is no destruction. As soon as we step in faith, the dividing walls are broken down. There is no choice in our construction sector. If we agree with forgiveness, we generally have opportunities for reconciliation. When we say something outside the art of construction, it reveals that our intentions are not right. If there are some people of whom we think highly and others of whom we do not, we must find the low place on the cross and repent. While we may have close fellowship with some people, we can love all people, even those who are not properly in grace. Our responsibility in love is not to outwardly correct people or roundly engage them, but to gently pierce them through God’s piercing life with the life of His thorny doves. We should not be overwhelmed by the debt they owe for their sins. We become a witness for them and a testament to the efficacy of His blood for every person of God. Our schedule of action in other people’s lives is not canceled regardless of the circumstances or circumstances in their experience. Regardless of what their life looks like, we lay a foundation for them in faith so that they can be the home of God’s promises.
