God is without demand.
(Hebrews 10:25)
- Enthusiasm is not a way of mercilessly reciting commandments on someone to change them from something you personally dislike. A person has no power to repent, and yet many command that he should do so.
As the command comes, man tries to fulfill the demand only to end up in despair at his inability. God never asks, but only leads people to the source. A commandment can make a person to give up what is unnecessary, but it does not make a person zealous in any kind of work. The teachings of God can never be fulfilled by man. With the commandment coming from God, it comes to its own fulfillment.
You should never be left in any spiritual nakedness without an umbrella. Transmitted righteousness itself is an umbrella implanted with you before it is transmitted to your life, as it directs itself to your life because of your free will. That righteousness allows God to see you in life and completely blocks Satan from seeing you. The umbrella lets God in and keeps Satan out. Do not abandon the outer cover of God’s umbrella. To forsake the body of Christ is to forsake Jesus Christ. Following the Shepherd means you are always with the other sheep. God’s heart pours out in a corporate way, as it fills the shape of every person.
To encourage is to call someone close by the urge of grace. This is not a demand to turn away from sin, but to draw someone closer through the love of grace. - Today’s reading passage is Genesis 3-5
