Heavenly Works by Revelation
1 Peter 1:3, Philippians 2:5
- Thoughts raise works. We remain in Jesus Christ to have His heart with us as the source of all our actions.
According to 1 Corinthians 14:40, God’s word is used as power to act righteously in heavenly activities. Our first work must be toward Christ, so that the purposes of His plan may be revealed in the provision of His grace. As we draw closer to Christ, He draws closer to us. Our step of faith in the Word produces the heavenly activity of the Holy Spirit. When we are hid in Christ, we are hid with the mind that made the universe and lifted up to fill all things. All things remain in the effects created by his thoughts.
The mind of Christ is the source of all heavenly activity. To act in his mind is to accept the Word by faith of the Son of God, who is the Word Himself. We do not try to recreate the thoughts of God in our minds, but we allow His thoughts to build up power, because His mind dwells in us, so that our actions may be like Christ Himself. The mind of Christ is the actions of Christ Himself. The life we get is not determined by what we think, but what we decide to think by the word of God determines our life. If we give space to thoughts outside of the word, then the place where we live is outside of the fullness of Christ. Thoughts outside of any word break down walls built by words.
