Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Love does not sleep
Psalm 121:2, Exodus 40:33-35
God does not sleep. “He will not let your foot slip.” The word “swallow” in Hebrew means inaction. Perhaps, your foot may have slipped in the past, but now because you are saved, God will not allow it to slip.
Why live in the sorrows and memories of yesterday when God is protecting and protecting you? There is no question about God’s protecting power. Once you have been placed within the redemption of Christ, God will continually declare your indolence to you. He is not sleeping, nor is He inactive. Why should we be conscious of our subject, when we can attain His form.
Jesus Christ protects us from all evil, because He is love. Love is free from evil, because it always conquers evil with itself. Rather than love being passive and giving room for evil to dwell, love never gives room because of its character. Why are we filled with evil, or afraid of evil? God does not have to prove love, or grace, or righteousness. Whether it is known or not, God is love, and grace, and righteousness. We cease to love as we accept God for who He is. If we think in the language of love, then glory fills our abode, because of the work accomplished. Just as Moses could not enter the tabernacle when the glory filled it, so it is with us. What do we need to know? Self-awareness is not an analysis of who we are, but the revelation of Christ in God’s life. God never saved us to serve our own desires, but to think in terms of love and serve who we are.
