How many people are so preoccupied with their flesh, or things related to it, that they completely obstruct the flow of Christ’s life? Their selfish perfections allow Satan to carry out his plans and succeed in his objectives. People are obsessed with themselves in many different things. It doesn’t have to be anything like the word we call “body” and yet God names it that way, because of the root of its beginning.
Some people can be obsessed with their own spiritual personality, to the point that they have not given up their lives to God. Their over-occupation with a special teaching “in Christ’s name or for Christ’s sake” can completely prevent them from living in the presence and presence of God now. Other people are so fixated on their present spiritual condition, to the point that they never rest in God’s acceptance of them as a work in progress. They are engaged in a constant battle, involved in the things of their flesh, never minding the spiritual thoughts of God.
If a person gives himself up to God, he finds that his redemption in Christ has already left him far from Adam. Abstinence begins with the complete destruction of the body. A man who sets his mind on his flesh certainly does not have God’s mind on him. God’s mind had already thought that we were perfectly hidden inside the Son of God. And that mind never fought with the possibilities that could be activated by the body.
