✝ The Everlasting Gospel – Part 4: Life Found in the Face of Death

(The story of a man on the verge of death in a hospital bed, who found Jesus at the last moment!)

🛏 One last chance on the deathbed

An old man was sleeping peacefully in a hospital room. His body was weak. The doctors said that he only had a few days left. Family members would come to him one by one, but he would just stare at the ceiling and think.

🧓 Old man (in a weak voice): “Is there anything after death? Will I find peace there?”

There was also a young nurse in that room who dared to tell him the good news.

👩‍⚕ Nurse: “Are you scared?”

🧓 Old man: “Yes, I want to know where I’m going. Will I be reborn? Or nothing?”

👩‍⚕ Nurse (smiling): “I’ll tell you a truth. Death is not the end, but the beginning. And there is a way to eternal life!”

✝ The truth about facing death

👩‍⚕ Nurse: “The Bible says, ‘It is appointed for man to die once, and after that to face judgment’ (Hebrews 9:27).”

🧓 Old man: “But I have made many mistakes in my life. I am a sinner.”

👩‍⚕ Nurse: “That’s why Jesus Christ came! He gave his life on the cross for all of us.”

📖 “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

🧓 Old man (with teary eyes): “Am I still late?”

👩‍⚕ Nurse (smiling): “It’s never too late to accept Jesus. Even a thief was saved when he called out to Jesus in his last words on the cross!”

📖 “Jesus said, ‘Today you will be with me in paradise!'” (Luke 23:43)

🔥 A decisive moment

🧓 Old man (in a weak voice) : “What should I do?”

👩‍⚕ Nurse:
✅ Confess your sins.
✅ Accept Jesus as your Savior.
✅ Trust Him completely.

📖 “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!” (Romans 10:13)

🧓 Old man (praying with tears):
“Oh Jesus, I am a sinner. Please forgive me. I accept you as my Savior. I believe in you. Amen!”

👩‍⚕ Nurse (joyfully): “Now you are a child of God! Eternal life is yours!”

📖 “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

🌅 Peace and eternal hope

That night the old man fell asleep in peace. A few days later he left this world, but this time he left with a face full of joy, not fear.

✅ Death is no longer a thing to fear.
✅ Eternal life is now assured!

So be it! Amen! Revelation 1:7 And he was clothed in blood; And his name is called ‘Word of God’. Revelation 19:13 “And behold, I come quickly; And I have my reward to give to every man according to his work. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” Revelation 22:12-13 Note: Today people don’t even have time to go to heaven. Believe in Jesus Christ and you will receive forgiveness of sins, salvation and eternal life.
