Jayamsih..! Welcome to today’s devotion.
Useful for the master’s use
2 Timothy 2:19-20
What God wants in a cooperative body, vessels of honor and vessels of dishonor. God tells us to cleanse ourselves from the vessels of dishonor, so that we may be used for the Master’s use. Dishes of dishonor are made of wood and earth. To be a wooden vessel is to be like a person, driven by human phileo love. This love is good, but it is not fair in its character. It is related. As a result, it falls short of being a foundation and pillar of truth within the church. Rather than exhibiting an indispensable nature, it relies on its abilities to produce whatever is essential. It is taken as an angel of light, love substituted for Christ’s life.
Just as Eve was deceived by a beautiful light, Christian after Christian is being deceived by this kind of love. Instead of knowing the love of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, this type of person fails to cleanse himself from the vessels of dishonor. This light, which is not true light, will not pass every test. Jesus promises a love that will never fail.
Dishes of dishonor on the earth represent Eros love. It is always the animalistic, sensual kind of love that man is capable of experiencing when he lives in a natural or worldly state. It is needless to say that God’s house should be clean from such vessels. By living God’s love in a cooperative body, we should be useful for the master’s use.
