Welcome to today’s devotion.
Unconditional Love
Ephesians 3:14-19
If we have unconditional love, we can bear the burdens of others. Unconditional love does not command the other person. It loves beyond the knowledge of the reality of that person. Other people do not receive love from us, but from the Holy Spirit within us. God is the fruit of our lives. We are no longer governed by what our senses tell us about situations. We don’t spend our time in spiritual alignment with those we see, but we live in complete love for all that is involved, and that is despite the changes brought about by the pressures of circumstances.
Do not cut off the opportunity for God’s heart to be expressed, because your life is governed by the standards you hold towards other people. Only unconditional love can be the basis for the implementation of God’s will. God’s thoughts are not our thoughts. Because of this, we must live in faith to let go of our own sense of what we should be. We have no right to question the sovereignty. Sovereignty does whatever it wants to do with its own power. Levels are used only in the sense of gaining empty knowledge rather than allowing people to grow in the grace of life.
What can be more beneficial than this? What is the use of serving with unconditional love, receiving grace for weakness, or being faced with the knowledge of incapacity with no escape from life through grace? Don’t worry too much about people’s lives, which don’t measure up to your standards. Let God work within and without what is pleasing in His eyes.
