Words without the power of life
1 Corinthians 4:20
- Knowing the word is one thing; Experiencing its power is a completely different thing. From the first you have the inner assurance of the promise; Experiential life is with you in God’s promise from the second. Today, most of the Christian world is going through many words, but not much power. They have so much to say in their own words, but when it comes to revealing Christ through the lives they take, they are left wanting. Many believers relate to the Word through their own intellectual assent, but do not respond to the Word in their lives that are rooted in true victory. .
Real difference means not accepting that you see within your own realm of understanding. It means to respond to a word that brings you into the power of life, which you cannot feel on your own in humanity apart from God. Where God is known is only in the form of being buried in death in the completed work of what is known as truth based on what is seen. What I saw in Adam was not known from God, but what I heard from what God is through his faith is an expressed, real revelation.
Faith makes me to be what I cannot be in my own process and understanding of the effects of change. We do not grow out of our problems, but rather we grow into Christ. Our intelligence by constant illumination brings forth an immediate surge in the mind, which reigns in victory. It is the kingdom of the Word that produces the life of power, and that is to exhibit the substance and character of the truth presented.
