See Difference
- Exodus 6:1-9
Moses was a man from a cursed tribe (Genesis 49:5-7), and yet he was chosen by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. We are human beings under the curse of sin, and because of His perfect identity, Jesus Christ led us out of the bondage. He changed our curses into blessings (Deuteronomy 23:5, Nehemiah 13:2) by being cursed for us (Galatians 3:13). We are led out of bondage by that Spirit, who guides us into all truth. A big problem is that many people do not listen to what the Spirit of God says, and because of that they live without the practicalities of a life that sets them free. They never reveal blessings. They do not remember what God has said, and they do not practice faith in what He has done. What God says frees people from what they are.
See who remembers what God says and who forgets, and you will see the difference between a curse and a blessing. One waits with the promise, while the other allows time to pass to undo his faith in the promise. Israel did not wait with God for what He had promised. When they did not receive what God had promised, they proved that they were not full of the promise. Instead of being pervaded by plans and purposes to promise, worry became their profession and they lived without life and without promise.
Circumstances will not give you the patience to wait for the promise. Only the long-suffering association of the promiser will give you the grace to find him in the delay in his plan.
