I am a prisoner of my own soul
Romans 7:15
- People are captives – in themselves, in the kingdom, and in the devil.
First, the body tries to control a person in the secret of its forces, which are anti-love and anti-health. When you live in your unstable emotions, wandering desires, and erratic decisions and thoughts, you attack your own humanity. Your body tries to manipulate you into its own erratic ways, doing so by trying to make itself better, then giving in to immediate trials and becoming evil. You are torn between good and bad. The flesh, your enemy, comes against the Spirit of personal truth, which gives you power and the will of God.
The kingdom of darkness, along with spirits everywhere in the world, come against you. In a certain spiritual realm, this is arranged in a wonderful order. Satan, who is his god (Eph. 2:2), keeps us in the focus of his atmosphere. His demons seek to frustrate grace and lead our flesh to go against the Spirit. His purpose is to destroy the Christ in you and the body of Christ.
We can also participate in the conspiracy against the body of Christ. A personal image fights with a personal savior. The individual body goes against the individual soul. This is the war of the whole era. Satan can act supernaturally, mimicking, pretending, and reproducing. His desire is always to make it impossible to produce Christ-like people and raise up good, devoted, holy people. Why do you want this? So that Satan can say that people are good without redemption.
