Conditional praise for anyone?
Romans 10:10
- Instead of taking faith through the life given by God, many people try to make it a law or a law. Because of pride and because of their rebellion against authority, they only produce words to show their faith. A person may deceive others by doing this for a moment, but he will never affect your spiritual life eternally by touching the garment. Words without power are like confessions without Christ. The only way to have faith in others is to have faith in yourself first. You cannot trust God with all your heart until you embrace grace in unconditional love, knowing that God has done the transforming work.
Many find it easy to praise Christ, but find it difficult to accept Christ in faith. Admirers get those things that make the mood happy. Acceptance comes according to the word of God and the will of the Father. You please God with outward gratitude, and because of that you are pleased with your life. Appreciation says that we agree outwardly, but acceptance changes us internally.
Faith comes from the Spirit when we meditate on the thoughts of God. We are sustained by the substance of our own acceptance. When faced with trials, those who find it difficult to abide in the word and are not able to overcome it by the word, when they hear what is necessary to believe from the revelation of the Holy Spirit, but do not hear with a sincere heart.
