Placement of God
Psalm 37:4
- People who worship a desire become distraught when God’s will does not become their desire. A person who worships God gets his desire, because he immerses himself in God. He who immerses himself in God desires Christ. Then, whatever he desires, he receives, because his desire is based on Christ and begins in the life of Christ. Any such desire is connected with God’s desire, so there is no other desire than what takes place with that person, because instead of desire, Christ intends his life. Nothing other than what God has placed in the plan of life will take place. We are always given the desires of our hearts because Christ is our desire, and will never leave us nor forsake us.
Let us offer our bodies to be resurrected, in the place God has appointed, without our consent, by faith. God never asks for Adam’s consent when He expresses His word. A refusal that runs counter to obedience never stops the sovereign plan, although obstinacy slows the pace of God’s mighty work. An effective act is when faith is in action, and we decide and agree that our consent has no right to God’s plan. Then we allow God to act according to His will and do not frustrate His work with our desires.
People who have idols are determined in their souls about that idol. Their lives crave that desire, and there is no obedience to a plan to be fulfilled, which includes God’s desire.
