who am I? Where did I come from?
Why am I in the world? Where am I going tomorrow?
(A profound and heart-touching study)
Role
These four questions are some of the deepest questions in human life. These questions explore our existence, purpose, and destiny. Until we find the answers to these questions, we will not find complete peace, joy, and satisfaction in our lives.
In this article, we will delve deeper into these questions through the truths of the Bible.
1. Who am I? (Who am I?)
The first and most fundamental question of life is— “Who am I?”
1.1 The Bible says: I am God’s creation.
The Bible clearly states that we are created in the image of God.
► “In the beginning of creation God created man in his own image.” (Genesis 1:27)
In this sense, I am not just a creature created by chance. I was created according to God’s wonderful plan. I am precious, because I was created out of love by the Creator of the world.
1.2 I am not only physical, but also spiritual.
► “Then God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7)
This verse makes it clear that I am not just a body, I am also a soul. As long as the soul is alive, I exist.
2. Where did I come from? (Where did I come from?)
Many people say that humans are the product of evolution. But the Bible says that we are God’s creation.
► “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
This verse makes it clear that my life is not an accident. I came into the world according to God’s plan.
Our lives originate with God. We did not come about through some chaotic and unknown process.
2.1 The reason for my existence—God’s will
► “All things were created by his will and for him.” (Revelation 4:11)
This means that there is a greater purpose behind my life.
3. Why am I here? (Why am I here?)
The most important question to understand the true meaning of life is— “Why am I here?”
3.1 To have a relationship with God
► “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” (Matthew 22:37)
The first purpose of human life is to love God, to have a relationship with Him, and to worship Him.
We were not created to simply enjoy the things of the world, but to have a living relationship with God.
3.2 To love others
► “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:31)
God has called us not to live selfish lives, but to love, serve, and be a light to others.
3.3 To preach the truth and expand the kingdom of God
► “You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14)
The purpose of our lives is to preach the truth, shed light in the darkness, and spread the gospel of God throughout the world.
4. Where am I going tomorrow? (Where am I going?)
This question is the deepest question. What happens after death?
4.1 Life after death is a reality
► “It is appointed for man to die once, and after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)
According to this verse, death is not the end, but the beginning of a new reality.
4.2 Heaven or Hell—Only Two Destinations
► “He who believes in me has eternal life. But he who does not obey my word will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” (John 3:36)
This verse clearly shows that man’s final destination can only be heaven or hell .
4.3 The way to heaven—Jesus Christ
► “Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me.'” (John 14:6)
According to this verse, believing in Jesus Christ is essential to going to heaven.
