Have you heard?
Revelation 2:11
- In what measure you hear, in what measure you will receive. The measure you receive is the measure you experience what you hear. To the extent you practice faith, you will enjoy what faith produces. The measure in which you express deliverance will be the measure you use to deliver. The value of our life is summed up in what we receive, what we experience and what we share. We are so valuable in the redemptive plan of grace.
Our greatest need is to train listeners. A man has no problem with preaching if he has learned how to listen. Attention produces a response, which empowers me to offer, which becomes the ultimate goal of my relationship with Christ. Be quick to hear (James 1:19). The greatest judgment we will receive because we are believers, not in the sense of being punished, but in the sense of suffering (reward) of losing what we could have with us, will be to be unable to listen attentively to the heavenly flow.
Our emphasis is on listening but not on doing, being or knowing. Christ knew that one cannot have one’s gaze on God unless one understands the meaning of one’s gaze on Christ. Be careful what you hear (Mark 4:24, Luke 8:18). Be prepared to hear (Ecclesiastes 5:1). How many problems have overcome because people refuse to be listening children?
