BE HONEST Heartfelt greetings in the holy name of Jesus Christ. In this month, we are reading “be honest” in the holy book – Bible. Sincerity is a natural characteristic of a Christian. ‘Christians must be sincere. Being honest in today’s world is not a simple matter. Truly spoke, lived, contrary to the world. They look like they are doing it. Worldly people may not live righteously but Christians must live righteously. We should have sincerity in speaking, walking, hands, behavior, prayer, giving to God, service program. If you think it is not possible, try and see – God blesses… Let us meditate on the following four points that God will do for them if they live truthfully.
1.The righteous are God’s favorite: (2 Chronicles 16:9).
To speak, live, act and walk truthfully may be contrary to the world but it is dear to God. Proverbs 11:20 – Fools are an abomination to the LORD. God will do good to whomsoever God pleases. Psalms 84:11 Jehovah God is the sun He bestows grace and honor on those who act truthfully, and He does not cease to do any good. – He does not do good to those who act truthfully. We should get any good, in education, in business, in daily life. Psalms 31:19 – Great is the good that you have hidden for those who fear you. Great is the good that You have prepared for those who take refuge in You before men. To get the good that He has prepared means to be sincere. Romans 8:28 Know that all things work together for good to those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.
2. The seed of the righteous shall be blessed: Psalm 112:2.
God Himself informed Job that Job was honest and righteous, God-fearing, and forsook wickedness. Even though Job lost his seven sons, three daughters, seven thousand goats, three thousand camels, five hundred pairs of oxen, five hundred she-asses, many workers, crops, and all his wealth in one day, “Even Job did not abandon his integrity. Yahweh gave – Yahweh took away, I said, Praise be to the name of Yahweh. God gave Job a double blessing because Job showed honesty in words and in life until the end. Job 42:10,12. And he gave Job twice as much as he had before. Psalm 112:2 – The word that the descendants of the righteous will be blessed was fulfilled in the life of Job . And are your descendants blessed by your honesty in life?
3. The tabernacle of the righteous prospers: Proverbs 14:11
As we read this verse, we should be very happy, because it is clearly written here, “prosper.” 2 Sam 5:10 – David was exceedingly prosperous. Genesis 39:2 Jehovah was with Joseph, and he prospered from the house of his master the Egyptian. Job 8:6 – If you are holy and righteous, your dwelling place will flourish according to your righteousness. It is God who prospers the tabernacle of the righteous. There are many rich people in this world who have abundant wealth but they should be blessed by God as sincere people. 2 Chronicles 26:3-5. When Uzziah began to reign, Paduna reigned in Jerusalem for about two years; His mother was a keeper of Jerusalem, and her name was Kolya, and he acted faithfully in the sight of Jehovah, just like his father Amaziah. In the days of Zechariah, who was wise about God’s revelation, he turned to God,
Uzziah was anointed king for 16 years. As long as he turned to Jehovah, God prospered him. David, Joseph, and Uzziah prospered in being faithful to God. We also need to be blessed by God.
4. There is light in the darkness for the righteous. Psalm 112:4:
During the reign of King Hezekiah, the Assyrians were feared. The second king, Hezekiah, had a fatal illness. During his reign, a terrible darkness fell in life. He consulted many doctors to cure his disease but to no avail. The time of Hezekiah’s death. When he approached, the prophet Isaiah, the son of Amoz, said to him, come and put your house in order, you are dying. When Hezekiah heard those words and darkness enveloped his life during his reign, he prayed like this. Isaiah 38: O LORD, let me walk before you with a true heart and in truth, and do all things well in your sight. Hezekiah shed tears and prayed to Jehovah to remember what happened to me with grace, and Jehovah gave him 15 years of life. And delivered the city from the hand of the king of Assyria. God has turned the darkness into light for the righteous.
Therefore we must also be sincere! The righteous are (1) God’s favorite , (2) the seed of the righteous shall be blessed, (3) the tabernacle of the righteous shall flourish, (4) the light of the righteous shall arise in the darkness. May God – bless you too, be honest people.
