Everything is possible with God
Verses 10:17-22
- All things are possible with God. If I stay with God even when I fail, that life that makes all things possible will hold. We should never walk away feeling defeated. The rich young man was not told to go through Christ. Though weakened by the trials of his possessions, he could cry out to one who never failed. There is no reason to run away with a heart that lags behind God because of a weakness of vision. As soon as the rich young ruler left, he cut off the possibility that God would strengthen him in grace.
Remain in grace and He will make you victorious. Don’t dismiss the possibilities of grace, because you are exalting something to be impossible. In situations we are blinded by our own eyes. In Mark 10:46-52, the story is told of a blind man, and even where he cried out to God in his weakness. He had no proof that God hears, he knew the nature of God’s character. He was not impressed by those around him, when they told him to shut up. He knew that Christ was his possibility and when He came through that place, all the impossible was made possible.
Peter, at some point, failed and denied the Lord (Mark 14:71). Despite his wacklight condition, Peter was the first to meet the Lord on the shore (John 21:7). Peter reached his weakness for the Lord. Instead of leaving because of our weakness, we should stay with God and receive the grace to stay.
