Bible verses about hope

When all seems hopeless, God’s message about our future can deeply encourage us. The Bible is full of scripture about hope and it’s good to be reminded from time to time of the hope that God offers to us.

  • Psalm 62:5-8 “Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I shall not be shaken. My salvation and my honour depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”

words of encouragement

  • Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
  • Hebrews 6:19 “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
  • Romans 12:9-12 “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
  • Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”
    Matthew 6:25-34
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?[a] 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

    Bible Verse Commentary

I truly love this Bible verse. There are three most important things in life that is very much essential to us human. These three important things are food, water and clothe. What i have found in this world is, people do not see the blessing that God gives us each and everyday and that they complain so much; because, the most important things in life that we need everyday, that the Lord provides for us we do not see, but rather the material things that we focus on. When us human do not get the material things we want, we do see that God has blessed us unless of-course we get the material wants, then we know that God has blessed us which is very wrong.
If you study our verse, you will notice that the three most important things in life we need is given to us everyday and which we do not have to worry so much about because God always care for us on them. For the rest of the material things we focus on, we just have to accept and be grateful, for the three essential things and the Lord will provide us with the rest. This, many Christians do not know, that by accepting and being grateful for the least, is how God will bless us with the material things we desire.
Therefore, if the word of God has said we should not worry or be anxious about our life, then this means the father already knows whatever we need and want and He is ready and always ready to provide us with them. Let us have faith in Him and His word and believe that what He has said He will do.

Prayer For This Comforting Bible Verse

From today, i will always be grateful for the essential things you provide me each day and i believe that everything in addition my heart desires will be added unto me. I thank you in Jesus Name. Amen
